Case Study: Profile Finishing Systems
Profile Finishing Systems, a feisty start-up that is now a state-of-the-art leader in surface preparation and painting services for large industrial metal fabricators, has grown from zero to 70 employees in record time, thanks to proximity to one of its largest customers. WCEDC assisted Profile Finishing Systems in setting up a Waukesha County operation to serve its largest customer, Weldall Manufacturing. This is an innovative example of bringing supply chain partners closer to OEM’s - to increase profits to both parties as well as jobs and tax base to Waukesha County.
And in the last six months, another customer has been added to Profile Finishing Systems' customer base – Waukesha Electric Systems. They have just signed contracts for new transformer production there, and all three companies are within shouting distance of each other in the City of Waukesha. WCEDC provided the connections and financing and the OEM’s (Weldall and Waukesha Electric Systems) provided the contracts for a key, local supplier to grow.
