Thinking back on the accomplishments of the past year, it is important to acknowledge our appreciation for our Directors’ service to WCEDC including your leadership, ideas and, if appropriate, your financial support.
This past year has been an amazing transitional year for us. We have invested in economic positioning research and chose to become a strategic economic development organization by helping business grow. In 2010 we adopted a new vision statement that reflects what WCEDC must do to sustain growth for Waukesha County and the region:
Build capacity in the SE Wisconsin region for collaboration and partnerships that benefits existing businesses using growth drivers:
Borderless Innovation, Strategic Sustainability and New Markets Development.
At our annual conference on October 20, 2010 we deployed tools through a web-based technology platform administered by our sister-organization, Smart Business Forum - the most innovative approach to helping business compete in a global economy ever to emerge in SE Wisconsin.
